I remember starting a blog in 2010, fresh out of high school, and eager to share the many stories I had.  I still do secretly visit those pages on random late-night reveries, reminiscing what my thought process and emotions might have been at the time.  Looking back at the incredible experiences I documented throughout the three years, I still find it hard to wrap my head around the growth that has taken place since then--personally, academically, socially, and culturally.

I am no longer a high school student.  My stint as an exchange student and A-levels college life have both been crazily instrumental in refining and steering the path of this traveller to where I am at present: Hampshire College.  An important story of finding myself and finding that courage to keep staying true to that self--the beginning to a whole new adventure.

Since then, I have been busy with my freshman year at Hampshire College--a loaded year, to say the least, as the lack of blog updates suggest.  But as I type this post, weary-eyed, backpack beside me, and laptop hooked up to a power source, I am waiting for my flight home from Los Angeles International Airport (a while back, I would have laughed at that very idea).  I cannot begin to tell you the emotions coursing through me right now.   Nonetheless, more importantly, are the exciting adventures and lessons that I am eager to share about--stories rather different from my past travels.

My decision to head to a college that was a far cry from any of my previous educational experiences has started a ripple effect of various waves, some of which I have yet to see the end of.  The bouts of self-reflective evaluations that have been part of my college "grade" has made me learn, question, and challenge a lot of the things I once knew.  I can't begin to tell you how much I feel I have grown.  The stories that follow may better illustrate the course my ship has taken so far and where it may be headed.

Hope you find them insightful in ways you may not expect.

Enjoy.

Genuinely,
Andrea.
